Happy Campers on the Namekagon

Jul 1st, 2009 by btr2

Just as we were about to launch on the Namekagon this morning, a group from Camp Nebagamon stopped to say hello. They had camped overnight at the Earl Park Landing, so we videotaped their breakfast and packing routine before they set off on the last leg of their canoe trip. While the crew was taping Wendy and Mike on the river, the campers came over to ask if we could take a group picture. The boys are from California, New York, Illinois and Hong Kong, among other places. The counselors from St. Paul and Colorado. The guy from St. Paul had seen Outdoor Wisconsin so he knew who we were.

I told him if he emailed me the names of all the boys we’d post them with the photo. For now, here’s the photo. It’s encounters like this that make this job worthwhile!

Later…
